Code of Conduct 1 of 5

1. Our code of conduct

Ruddington Village FC want to provide football to the young people of Ruddington and the surrounding areas in a safe, friendly and fun environment. The idea is of course for young people to learn about playing in a team and make friends (hopefully for life). We believe this can have a really positive impact on our community.

At the younger age groups we want to ensure that all players get a chance to play so we promote equal playing time. Everyone likes winning of course but this is not our primary aim and we do not support any of our teams playing with a win at all costs attitude. As the teams move to 9 aside and 11 aside there is more room for competitive approaches but of course with the backdrop of being a community club and providing football in a fun and safe environment.

Finally, we ask our managers to have an open approach with the parents and children at all times and explain at the beginning of the season how things will work for your team.

If anyone feels that these codes of conduct and the club ethos are not being followed then please raise this with our Club Welfare Officer, Paul Disney, 07967342832 or another member of the committee who will be happy to help resolve any issues.
